This week we have a few Handicap races in the line-up, a great way to level out the field with every athlete’s PB used to calculate their handicap, in theory if all run at their best we should have some very close finishes!! We will have handicapped 100m races in age groups with an exciting final, then a special event of a 400m across all ages. Program and pb’s will be uploaded into Team App mid-week.

Accumulation of points for centre champion awards will only be for field events this week.

The duty roster is a makeup roster so if you have missed one or need to do an extra to ensure your athlete can compete in championship week, this is your chance. Listen out for the announcements where we are short and pitch in where you can. Don’t forget to sign the duty register in the pavilion.

A news item was released today in regards to championship day, please come to the pavilion to register for events, registrations are open this Sat 3rd and the following Sat 10th. Championships are for all U7-15 athletes who are eligible.

Registrations for the upcoming Western Metro Track and Field Championships on 17/18 Feb which are being held at our Newport track this year are closing on 31st January, don’t miss out register now!!

Training on Tuesdays at 5pm for High Jump with Ted is available, come on down. For athletes wanting to register for High Jump at Centre Championships there is a document on High Jump in the Resources tab detailing guidelines in event of a tie.

Our BBQ will be hot, the canteen drinks cold and the races sure to fire up the crowd so come down and enjoy the atmosphere of handicap week. U6-8 start 0815 for a 0830 start, U9-15 0945 for a 1000 start.
